YOUR GUIDE

Specific to this procedure.

YOUR PLAN

Follow your personal instructions.

YOUR TEAM

Call if something is unclear.

This overview helps you find your way. Read the complete instructions above and follow the personal guidance from your surgical team.

Your first day with dentures

Keep dentures in place for the first 24 hours. The official guide gives a limited exception if they prevent eating, drinking, or taking medicine; read those instructions before removing them.

Cleaning from the next day

After eating, remove and rinse the dentures and lightly rinse your mouth as instructed. Wait for your denture doctor’s permission before using adhesives.

Eating during recovery

Choose a non-chew diet on surgery day, then soft foods for about a week before gradually returning toward a usual diet.

Medication and comfort

Follow your personal prescription plan. The complete guide covers bleeding, swelling, activity, mouth rinse, antibiotics, and pain medicines.
